How do I say it, let's make it simple...I went to the place after reading all the reviews. My SUV'S A/C was not working. Service advisor was nice and advised me to have the recharge and it will cost me $189+. I agreed. After 30 minutes he came back with an estimate of $1600 as everything related to my A/C was wrong? After getting the estimate I told him I don't want to move forward with this estimate. He told me no problem let me check you out and asked me to pay $189+...? What! So I drove in the "Honest" Autocare in a hot car and left in a hot car...only $108 poor. I love the sign in the waiting are that says something like " Relax don't worry you are not getting ripped off". WHAT A DIS-HONEST STATEMENT.

My cell phone is 704/904-4572. I reviewed the invoice from your service yesterday. We did only charge you $99.95 plus tax. If your credit card receipt is different than that please let me know. The recharge service is the 1st step in the diagnostic process for an air conditioning service and has to be done. We inject a dye in the system along with the new freon that allows us to look for leaks in the system. Sometimes just replacing the freon and refilling it to the proper amount will allow the a/c system to work for a while. It's a sealed system so if it's low on freon it means there's a leak somewhere that would ultimately need to be addressed. In your case, the compressor and condenser need to be replaced. Simply recharging the freon will not solve that. To do that repair work, the freon has to be removed and replaced again (per EPA regulations). Doing that service is not something we would charge you twice for. Also, our work comes with a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty, which is better than the dealerships offer. We will at times be more expensive than other shops, but that's because we're using the best quality parts we can find to support our warranty.
