My daughter's Jeep recently had oil pressure light come on several times and according to manual she was to take her vehicle to dealer for service immediately and not drive vehicle. The light came on and off intermittently and never stayed fully on. She took vehicle to closest CDRJ dealer in Duluth area. After inspection, were advised that oil was leaking from both the oil pan and timing cover on the vehicle...the electronic report received said immediate action required at a cost of $2,936. We requested pictures of the leak and none of the 3 pictures received showed any major leaks. I questioned the dealer and got no real explanation and no detail on the parts and services required to do the repair...just a one liner with the total amount. I called Honest A-1 as we have had vehicle serviced there before and they advised if I got vehicle to them by noon they could have it checked out the same day. Their detailed analysis showed that there was only slight seepage on the oil pan (vehicle is 10 years old) and that we should monitor moving forward as oil was not actually dripping anywhere. We received an oil change and they pointed out that the front brakes needed replaced, all which were completed the same day. They provided both a detailed document of the service they were going to provide along with a phone call to discuss the details, questions and decision to proceed with services. We appreciate their detailed attention to service and recommend them to all.
